Trash, toxins lined up in Rio bay


Worldwide consideration regarding the issue has concentrated on the competitors who will visit Rio for this summer’s Olympic Games. Oil and gas harmful waste dumped into the bay.

Groups all over Rio heave their sewage untreated into its waters. Every day 90 tons of trash buoy downstream and line the inlet’s shorelines and mangroves.

Rio’s state government said their have renewed its promise to tidy up the bay. The city’s lawmakers say they’re pushing forward with the most recent process of a decades-in length cleanup program.
