First ever US presidential laptop use to send email is in auction


A part of US history is the laptop used by Bill Clinton to send the very first email with Toshiba Satellite who originally owned by Robert Darling is sold for $60,667. RR Auction did not mention who the buyer was.

Clinton was visiting a friend in his hometown in Arkansas when John Glenn, who was orbiting the Earth aboard the shuttle Discovery, sends him an email. Clinton’s staff was not able to find him a computer that time. So, Darling let Clinton borrowed his laptop with his personal AOL email address to sends his reply.
