The information desk is made available inside the Philippine Embassy in Muscat. It is a part of Fund’s thrust where it aims to reach out and cater member’s needs.
“The OFW membership is one of Pag-IBIG’s fastest growing segments. The number of OFW members has grown by 60% annually since 2010. Today, we have about 3 million members working abroad. That’s 24% of our total membership of 12.5 million,” said Pag-IBIG Chairman Vice President Jejomar Binay.
Pag-ibig has recently increased the loanable housing loan amounting from P3 million making it to P6 million with much lesser interest rate. And a socialized housing program which enable workers with minimum wage to get a house only with 4.5% interest fixed rate for 10 years.
