Texting accident that includes falls, trips and collisions with obstacles or other individuals is rising, according to research. Thus, the researchers from University of Queensland in Australia conducted a study about texting while walking.
“Texting, and to a lesser extent reading, on your mobile phone affects your ability to walk and balance,” said lead author Siobhan Schabrun.
It shows that texting while walking impairs the ability to follow a straight line and keep a normal pace. And due to the rise of number of pedestrian accidents, some areas in the US have ban doing such activity while on the move.
