PH government to give financial help to families HK hostage victims

After the Hong Kong government officials made a declaration of no entry no visa for Philippine government officials, Philippines made a proposition that is to offer financial aid to the families of the hostage crisis victims last 2010.

“If Hong Kong will signify acceptance of such gestures, the Philippines is willing to convey these gestures for the benefit of the affected families as soon as possible,” Foreign Affairs sposkesman Raul Hernandez told a press briefing.

Since the 2010 hostage taking that took lives of 20 tourists from Hong Kong, the relationship between the Philippines and Hong Kong became sour.
