The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration have spotted an LPA in the northern part of Mindanao. Though it is not within PAR, it could possibly turn into a tropical cyclone once it enters PAR.
As per observation, the LPA is moving westward and will enter the PAR this Thursday or Friday. If it will develop into a cyclone, it will be named as “Basyang.”
PAGASA is giving out advise to all fishing boats and other small seacraft against venturing into the eastern seaboards of Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao, where sea conditions are expected to be rough to very rough. He also alerted larger vessels to waves that could reach up to 4.5 meters.
