The owner of MB Kim Nirvana-B, Jorge Bong Zarco, and captain Warren Oliviero is now under custody facing multiple murder raps. The motor boat capsized just about 200 meters from the port of Ormoc City, Leyte last July 2 where 60 passengers were confirmed dead and 145 survived. Included in the complaint are the 17 crew members of the boat.
Most of the victims of the sea tragedy were women, according to Capt. Pedro Tinampay, the commander of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Eastern Visayas District.
